The Supply Chain Analyst serves as a key resource for extracting, analyzing, and communicating supply chain data to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and optimize inventory management at Akron Children's Hospital. The analyst collaborates across departments to identify cost-saving opportunities, ensure compliance, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Manages monthly and quarterly supply chain metrics for executive and operational dashboards to support strategic decisions.
2. Tracks and manages contract rebates within the ERP system, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
3. Identifies non-compliant and off-contract purchases, presenting actionable insights to achieve potential cost savings.
4. Performs monthly inventory optimization analyses, recommending adjustments to inventory levels based on seasonal demand and usage trends.
5. Prepares detailed analytical reports supporting internal and external supply chain data requests.
6. Documents financial impacts, including rebates, cost avoidance measures, and GPO administrative fees, for comprehensive cost analysis.
7. Investigates inventory discrepancies, identifies root causes, and recommends process improvements to minimize recurrence.
8. Uses data analytics tools proactively to identify trends, patterns, and areas for supply chain process enhancement.
9. Collaborates closely with strategic sourcing teams on savings initiatives, providing data-driven insights through detailed analysis.
10. Develops and maintains benchmarks for supply chain metrics to track and measure performance effectively.

Other information:
Technical Expertise
1.Proficiency in ERP systems, data analytics, and Lean principles required.
2.Advanced Excel skills including complex data manipulation and analysis.
3.Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools preferred.
4.Healthcare supply chain experience preferred.
5.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Computer Science, or related field required, OR a high school diploma with 6 years of relevant experience required.
