BJC is seeking an IT Application Support Analyst for a remote position, with a preference for candidates located in the St. Louis area. This role will require onsite presence at times. Ideal candidates should have experience with Application Support and possess knowledge in cloud-based application software, healthcare industry, and Windows desktop and operating systems. Provide user assistance with administration of application settings, licensing, and business workflow.
Role Purpose
As an Application Support Analyst, you will bridge the gap between complex healthcare data and business efficiency. You?ll manage system interfaces, optimize workflows, and provide critical support for our claims applications. Working under the guidance of the Team Lead, you will help steer our digital environment toward creative problem-solving and high-quality data integrity.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor?s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related technical certification.
Experience: 1-3 years in technical support or user application support, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Windows Desktop/Operating Systems and User Security protocols.
Experience with cloud-based application software.
Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate data-driven "stories" to non-technical stakeholders.

Role Purpose
Under moderate direction, performs a variety of functions related to the collection and entry of critical data into software applications, systems or databases. Collaborates with end users to facilitate understanding of data by displaying concepts, ideas, and facts using graphical representations. Tests quality and validity of data flow, and ensures visualization of data is appropriate.
Responsibilities
Operationalizes and automates activities for efficient and timely production of data visuals. Selects appropriate visualization approaches from a range of applicable options. Applies a variety of visualization techniques and designs the content and appearance of data visuals.
Investigates the need for business intelligence reporting and analysis where there is some complexity and ambiguity. Identifies opportunities to digitize and streamline operational data handling and optimize business intelligence capabilities.
Plans effective data storage, sharing and publishing within the organization. Independently validates external information from multiple sources.
Selects from existing data sources and prepares data to be used by data science models.
Applies standard data modelling and design techniques based upon a detailed understanding of requirements.
May be part of an after-hours on-call rotation.
