Medical Lab Scientist - Molecular Technologist
Position SummaryThis is a part-time evening shift (30 hours per week) in our Microbiology Department. Hours are from 2:00pm - 12:30am, with rotating shifts during the week, and potential of a weekend rotation. Previous Microbiology experience is required, and high-complexity viral load molecular testing is preferred. The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs and interprets standard, complex and specialized laboratory tests. The MLS II has an understanding of the underlying scientific principles of laboratory testing as well as the technical, procedural, and problem-solving aspects.
