The role you’ll contribute: Evaluates and treats patients within the scope of a licensed Physical Therapist as defined by the Texas Physical Therapy Practice Act and the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Primarily provides physical therapy in inpatient settings. May provide physical therapy to pediatric, adult and/or geriatric patient populations as needed. Performs physical therapy evaluations; establishes patient goals based on evaluation results, and develops physical therapy plans to achieve established goals. Upon concurrence of referring / attending physician, implements physical therapy plans. Provides high quality patient care and treatment to facilitate achievement of patient goals, maximize patient functional abilities, and optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.

Effectively communicates with Physical Therapist Assistant, referring/attending Physician, patient / family and other rehabilitation team members to ensure coordination and continuity of care.
Accurately and promptly completes medical record data entry to document patient progress; accurately and promptly completes patient charge entry to support billing for services provided.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Must be graduate of a college-based or university-based Physical Therapy training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association / Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
Must have earned a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (unless “grandfathered” by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Must have a current Texas Physical Therapist License.
Preferred qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
Extensive experience in both adult and pediatric patient populations.
Specialty certification(s) in Physical Therapy.
