LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Specimen Accessioning team in Saint Paul, MN. Our Specimen Processors are responsible for performing specimen receipt, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
The schedule for this position will be: 2nd shift, Tuesday - Saturday 5:00 pm - 1:30 a.m.
Location:402 W County Rd D, St Paul, MN 55112
Pay:$16.50/hr. plus a 10% shift differential (total is $18.15/hr)
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
After your on-site training you will be able to:
Receive, unpack, and prepare samples for entry (blood, urine, body fluids, and non-biological samples)
Verify and enter patient information into database
Label and stabilize sample for testing
Sort and deliver samples to multiple technical areas
Store, retrieve, and dispose of samples based on life cycle
Meet key production metrics while maintaining high quality standards
Identify and flag sample issues that may impact testing
Follow all safety protocols to ensure your safety and the safety of others
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Able to work independently under general supervision
Able to pass a standardized color blind test
Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50-lbs
Strong data entry/10-key and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Medical/clinical laboratory experience a plus
