1. Assists in triage and resolution of issues submitted as Medical Technical Requests. Communicates with Medical Affairs, internal colleagues and external contacts from sponsor and investigator as needed to investigate and address inquiries.
2. Supports literature research and writing needs including but not limited to Method Summaries, FAQ's, slide presentations, memorandums, white papers, abstracts, articles, meeting preparation, and other medical, technical, and scientific documents. 3. Participates in internal and external conferences to support process improvements and resolutions for clients, records meeting minutes, monitors completion of Medical Affairs and other action items. 4. Drafts SOPs, policies, and work-instruction documents and revisions. 5. Participates in departmental regulatory and audit compliance preparation activities. 6. Identifies process gaps, opportunities to improve efficiency and quality. Works proactively to implement process change, working individually, or leading a team as appropriate. 7. Participates in continuing education program with presentation to departmental staff, laboratory staff, or across the organization as required. 8. Cross-trained to support myeloma study interpretations (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE), as appropriate. 9. Mentors and trains other staff members on specific tasks, as appropriate. 10. Other duties as assigned.
II. Experience:
Minimum Required:
Individual must have 4 or more years of Labcorp Central Laboratory Services experience performing clinical laboratory testing or experience in performing clinical laboratory testing judged as equivalent.
Individual must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Recommended:
Previous experience as a Supervisor and/or Technical Liaison at Labcorp Central Laboratory Services.
Previous experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent.
III. Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses
Minimally requires Bachelor's degree in biology, pharmaceutical science, or other life science.
Advanced degree in a scientific discipline is a plus.
Computer literate.
Command of bilingual is advantageous.
