SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides administrative, logistical, scheduling, and other support for new and existing information services projects and initiatives, as well as analyzing and coordinating support activities for the Penn State College of Medicine clients, through the College of Medicine Informatics and Technology (COM-IT) department.
Associates degree in a job related field plus 2 years job related experience OR 4 years of job related experience required
Experience in administrative support, medical office, Allied Health or Computer related field required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Strong computer skills required
Strong communication and organizational skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
Experience working in, or supporting, an information technology operation/department in the area(s) of customer service, administrative, finance, technology, and/or general operations
Experience managing small to medium sized projects/initiatives with limited scope, scale, and complexity from initiation to completion
Experience coordinating services to customers (internal or external), assisting the customer in navigating business/IT processes and procedures
Experience working in a complex and fast-paced environment, where agility, accuracy, and speed of delivery must be balanced
