Description

As a Sr. Analyst, you will utilize enterprise-level business intelligence tools to deliver insights to users across the organization. This role involves analysis of complex business problems using data to provide insight to decision-makers, develops forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical insights based on data. You will work with business/clinical partners to understand and prioritize data and information requirements to help create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs. Additional responsibilities include optimizing the performance of developed BI solutions, partnering with analysts of various levels across the organization to deliver data discovery tools, and assisting in the training of more junior team members.

This is a Hybrid work environment role meaning you will be required to come onsite occassionally as business needs determine. Candidates who either work remotely or within a Hybrid Remote role are required to live within commuting distance (50miles) of the employee's CCHMC assigned location and in states where CCHMC has an established business presence (those states presently include Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.) with rare exceptions.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

• User requirements
  • Gather, prepare and analyze user requirements to create reports and dashboards
• Technical Skill
  • Utilize enterprise data systems
    • The Epic Cogito Stack (Slicer/Dicer, Radar, Reporting Workbench, etc.)
    • MicroStrategy
    • SAP Business Objects)
    • SQL Server
  • Partner with other CCHMC teams in the design/build/test phases of reporting views
  • Utilize enterprise reporting platforms in the development of reports/dashboards
  • Earn/maintain applicable certifications across reporting stacks
• Change Management
  • Perform code reviews for peers
  • Evaluate reporting stack for impact during system upgrades
  • Ensures all developed assets are built in adherence to the CCHMC development standards
  • Utilize and contribute to the CCHMC data glossary when creating reporting assets
• Training
  • Develop end-user education strategies and develop or oversee the development of end-user materials for end-user training, adoption, and education
  • Develop mastery of specific hospital data domains and provide consultation to customers and other technical staff
  • Mentor junior members of the team
• Project management
  • Utilize ServiceNow for time tracking/project management
  • Utilize Agile methodology to manage project tasks and track spring deliverables
  • Effectively balance multiple concurrent project assignments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
• Analyze Business Intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processes, as well as develop new processes and investigate new tools where appropriate
• Use troubleshooting skills to effectively support Business Intelligence solutions and assist others in solving escalated issues
• Develop support plans for new solutions
• Escalate unresolved issues with urgency
• Seek the appropriate resources needed for activities with multiple tasks
• Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal and external parties on assigned tasks and related issues
• Be personally accountable for commitments to projects

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline

Preferred:

• Experience in the MicroStrategy suite of analytical tools
• Advanced development experience in BI tools
• Advanced knowledge of SQL development best practices
• Experience with the Agile Project Management Methodology
• Experience with Lean/Process Improvement methodologies
