Job Description:
The Division of Laboratory Medicine of the Marshfield Clinic Health System is seeking an enthusiastic and team oriented full time board-certified Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathologist to join our practice. The successful applicant will become a member of the newly created Regional Division of Marshfield Lab and Pathology Service. The primary responsibilities include serving as CLIA laboratory medical director to several outlying hospitals and clinics across the growing Marshfield Health Care System in Wisconsin. These same CLIA-related responsibilities will extend to outlying hospitals and clinics currently being serviced by Marshfield Pathology but not a formal member of the Marshfield system. Additional responsibilities will include occasional surgical pathology sign out of Marshfield system specimens.
You will be joining a laboratory team that includes nearly 20 pathologists located in four communities in central and northern Wisconsin. Our pathology specialists have expertise in cytopathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, hematopathology, infectious disease pathology, molecular pathology, nephropathology, neuropathology/ neuromuscular pathology, pulmonary pathology, and transfusion medicine, and are supported by 5 PhD clinical laboratory scientists.
The Pathology Department accessions approximately 43,000 surgical cases each year and maintains on-site ancillary diagnostic services including a broad immunohistochemical menu, transmission electron microscopy, cytogenetics and a molecular pathology laboratory. Academic affiliations with regional universities and research opportunities in collaboration with the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute are encouraged.

Job Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Minimum Required: MD or DO degree from accredited medical school with certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Clinical Pathology.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in laboratory medicine. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse physicians and medical staff groups. Prior experience providing medical directorship to a CLIA certified clinical laboratory.
Preferred/Optional: Three years' experience as practicing pathologist with prior laboratory directorship experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Clinical Pathology. License to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
