More information will be provided to you throughout the interview process.Texas Oncology is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a full-time, vibrant, team-oriented Medical Physicist to join our regional group of six radiation oncology centers located in the Dallas metroplex.
This position will primarily be based at the Presbyterian Cancer Center location within the Dallas Region POD.
The Presbyterian Cancer Center is a busy practice that provides a full range of radiation therapy procedures; including SRS, SBRT, HDR, LDR (eye plaque therapy) and radiopharmaceuticals (Xofigo). Equipment in use at this location includes 2 Elekta Inifinity Linacs with Agility MLC (one with Hexapod 6D table and 6 MV FFF), GE Discovery CT, Elekta microSelectron HDR afterloader, Mosaiq R&V, Pinnacle, Landauer microstar dosimetry system, MIM and Dosisoft software (EpiBeam) . The fully staffed team includes 3 Radiation Oncologists, 2 ABR Certified physicists, 2 Medical Physics Residents, 2 Certified Medical Dosimetrists, 6 Radiation Therapist and 1 Chief Therapist.
The Presbyterian Cancer Center has a strong focus on education of radiation oncology professionals. The site is a primary location for the Texas Oncology Medial Physics Residency, with 2 residents on staff. The site also has active affiliations with MD Anderson for Radiation Therapy (4 students) and Dosimetry (1 student). The successful candidate should be interested in ongoing education programs.
The Dallas Region consists of 6 radiation oncology centers supported by a total of 10 Medical Physicists and 10 Radiation Oncologists. While each center is operationally independent, the physics staff collaborate on special projects and assist each other as needed. In addition to external beam therapy (3D, IMRT and VMAT), there are active SBRT programs at 5 centers, HDR programs at 5 centers, TBI programs at 2 centers, radiopharmaceuticals at 3 centers, a CyberKnife program at 1 location and a CAMPEP accredited physics residency program based at 1 location.

Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities will include all aspects of radiation oncology physics, quality assurance, treatment planning, radiation safety and research. While this position is primarily at the Presbyterian location, the successful candidate
will also provide coverage and collaborate with staff at all Dallas Region locations. The ideal candidate will have:
- ABR board certification, or equivalent
- Valid Texas state license
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Strong organizational and oral / written communication skills
- Working knowledge of SRS and SBRT planning and treatment procedures
- Experience with Elekta linear accelerators
- Experience with Pinnacle and Eclipse Treatment planning
- Experience with HDR planning and treatment - Elekta and/or Varian
- Experience with MOSAIQ
- Experience with a residency program
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications: - MS or PhD degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program
- Graduation from a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics residency program
- ABR board certified
- Texas state licensure
- RAM license eligibility
