Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Infection Prevention Practitioner (RN) at Chilton Medical Center for Infection Prevention to work from 8 AM to 4 PM, including on-call as scheduled by the department.
Implements Infection Prevention Measures Identifies appropriate isolation precautions based on disease or diagnosis.
Maintains a daily isolation log of inpatients and updates computer system as necessary.
Updates computer staff alert for isolation.
Liaison with bed management for patient room placement.
Monitors isolation signs, chart stickers and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage on units.
Assists in outbreak investigations as necessary.
Participates in Environmental Tours as needed.
Completes Infection Prevention Action Requests when indicated.
Conducts and creates educational presentation as needed and in scheduled time frames an.
Provides disease specific information to patients and families as needed.
Maintain visibility on assigned units as resource.
Responds to information requests from the public.
Attends workshops, lectures, professional meetings (APIC) and conferences to increase e personal knowledge and skills.
Is proficient with WORD, EXCEL and POWER POINT and proficient with MICROSOFT OFFICE/360.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Two years clinical experience strongly preferred
