Overview

St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking an Oncology Research Pharmacist/Investigational Drug Service (IDS) Pharmacist to join our Oncology Pharmacy.

This is a full time position with shift hours Monday through Friday approximately 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for investigational drug product ordering, documentation, receipt, storage, dispensing, transfer across five (5) clinical oncology sites in Southern Idaho
• Work collaboratively with the entire Adult and Pediatric Oncology Research team, including Clinical Research Coordinators, Regulatory Research Coordinators, and Investigators
• Participate in study initiation, monitoring and closeout visits, quality assurance audits and other related meetings with study sponsors and their representatives, regulatory agencies and others
• Screen all potential research patients for trial eligibility focusing on concurrent medications, potential drug-drug interactions and also evaluating laboratory data
• Perform patient education for investigational agents, particularly oral agents, and participate in supportive care management of patients on investigational agents
• Serve as a resource to other members of the research team and SLHS pharmacists and nurses
• Answer clinical questions from the research team and investigators
• Work with the Epic team to build and validate Research Treatment Plans
• Primary preceptor of PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residents on their longitudinal oncology research rotation

Qualifications

• Valid Idaho Pharmacist License
• Minimum of two (2) years's experience (MBA or Residency in lieu of experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency or 3 years Oncology experience in lieu of residency and/or
• One (1) year investigational drug service (research) experience
