JOB SUMMARY The Parking Specialist 2 provides high-level customer service while helping patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees gain access to the facilities they need. The Parking Specialist 2 issues parking assignments to anyone who parks a motor vehicle on campus, processes tenant parking billing, and posts payments and maintains records for these accounts. The Parking Specialist 2 uses an advanced understanding of internal systems, facilities, garage structures, and independent judgement to create access solutions for customers, understanding when to escalate decisions to leadership depending on the nature of the situation. The Parking Specialist 2 troubleshoots, repairs and maintains parking specific equipment, cash registers, and associated software at all facilities with parking equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Maintains database to record sale/issuance of parking tokens and permits.
Issues parking assignments to patients, visitors, medical staff, and employees who park a motor vehicle on campus.
Processes and issues photo identification badges to all employees, volunteers, students, and authorized contract employees.
Collects fees and issues receipts for parking token purchases and citation payments as applicable.
Maintains vehicle registration data by entering the appropriate information into database and keeping the actual form in a secure area for future reference.
Processes billings, posts payments, and maintains records for all tenant parking accounts.
Maintains the appearance of the parking facilities at multiple locations.
Provides maintenance and mechanical repairs to parking gates and equipment.
As required, travels to other facilities for maintenance and repair of parking equipment.

Have the aptitude, knowledge and experience required to trouble shoot and repair mechanical and electronic systems such as parking equipment, access systems, and cash registers.
General computer skills, including but not limited to: using required software applications, data entry, information security, hand held scanning and email.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent EXPERIENCE: 2 Years of Experience
