The Atlanta VA Medical Center is recruiting a highly qualified board-certified gynecologist with FPMRS training and/or ABOG certification in FPMRS. The gynecologist will examine, diagnose and medically and surgically treat pelvic floor disorders. Duties include but are not limited to: Clinical and surgical responsibilities: Provide both outpatient and inpatient care to veteran patients and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure comprehensive and wholistic patient care Provide peri-operative care, including but not limited to preoperative evaluations and postoperative care Perform general, as well as pelvic floor disorder related surgical procedures commensurate with training and privileges Manage inpatient and emergency room gynecologic consults Manage secure message and other patient communication in a timely manner Academic/teaching/research/program evaluation: Instruct rotating trainees and medical students in the operating room, clinic and classroom as part of a robust interdisciplinary training program Actively participate in clinical research and serve as advisor to trainees when requested Other significant responsibilities: Maintain licensure and board-certification status Serve on appropriate Atlanta VAMC committees when requested VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.
