Wellness Specialist - Geisinger Health Plan (Northeastern / Northcentral Pennsylvania)

Geisinger Health Plan: Work with a fantastic team focused on making better health easy for those we serve! This position is primarily responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of wellness initiatives and strategies to benefit clients, members, and the communities we serve. Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the segment of the market being targeted.
Schedules and conducts calls with employer groups or community organizations, provides ongoing consultation, creates customized wellness plans, and conducts wellness information sessions and screenings at employer and community sites.
Develops relationships and follows up on community partnerships, new client prospects, and existing clients to increase use of wellness services to improve the health of each population.
Prepares and delivers presentations to employer group decision makers, partner organizations, and/or individuals.
Meets frequently with employer groups or partners to determine the need for various wellness products and services.
Communicates changes in rates, services, activities and other information related to wellness products.
Works closely with both client and internal departments to determine a group or partner-specific wellness products recommendation based on historical and current data.
Oversees all group and/or program activity.
Maintains and updates database, tracking volume of activity and detailing services provided and outcomes to specific groups and leadership.
Develops or build relationships with community or commercial resources and supplemental vendors and programs.
Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Quality, Informatics, and other stakeholders to form strategies, proposals, and to determine areas of emphasis and concern.
Works closely with Sales team, brokers, community partners, clients, and/or consultants when providing programming.
Tracks volume of active companies or community services, and analyzes program participation results.
Responsible for identifying and investigating emerging new opportunities within the health promotion field.
Partners with leadership in the design, development and testing of select new wellness products and initiatives.
Implements business plans, creatively solving product design, financial, marketing or administrative problems.

Bachelor's Degree-Healthcare Related Degree (Required)
Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience (Preferred)
