Reporting to the Director, Outpatient Oncology Services and the Medical Director of Clinical Research and BMT Services, the Research Oncology NP is responsible for the clinical care activities in the inpatient and outpatient areas and serves as clinical consultant in the community practices. This position requires an advanced degree in nursing field with experience in the area of specialization. Responsibilities include development and implementation of care guidelines/disease management systems and strategies, and the provision of ambulatory and inpatient nursing care including all clinical and educational activities provided by both licensed and unlicensed personnel. Collaborates with the Director of Outpatient Oncology Services and Unit Directors to develop Standards for patient care, assessing interventions and improving care. The ONP will utilize the role of practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, and leadership to advance the objectives of the Oncology Services. With the Administrative Director develop, recommend, and implement a cost effective/efficient patient care delivery team. Evaluation will continue on ongoing basis with modification to plan as necessary.

MSN/DNP Specialty in Adult Acute Care, Adult NP with Oncology Experience – Required
Oncology experience as an RN or NP - strongly preferred
Current BLS from AHA or ARC- Required.
