This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more The Neuropsychologist works within the Mental Health Service product line performing administrative duties as an expert in professional practice issues and in addition to duties in their area of clinical practice ( e.g., neuropsychology). As with any VA psychologist, this position meets VA standards (VA Handbook 5005/103, Part II, Appendix G 18) for employment including citizenship, education ( doctoral level graduate of an APA accredited institution), licensure as a psychologist, English language proficiency and references. In addition, a minimum of 4-5 years of mid/upper level of experience in psychology/mental health administration is preferred. The Neuropsychologist possesses knowledge of, and ability to apply, advanced professional psychological theories and techniques to the full range of patient populations. They possess the ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health, and they possess knowledge of clinical research literature. In addition, they can provide consultation and supervision in areas related to behavioral health and social services provision to accomplish the organizational goals and objectives, and they possess the ability to provide fair, principled and decisive leadership for a work environment that promotes shared accountability.
