ResponsibilitiesThe Component Processing Lab is seeking to hire a Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Per Diem. Primary duties include:
•Perform donor quality assurance tasks, such as review of donor testing data and release of blood products, maintaining laboratory records, and quality control review •Works with clinical lab to provide transfusion support to the patients of UCLA Medical Center including trauma and transplant patients
Qualifications•Requires a current California Clinical Lab Scientist License and preferably two years of recent similar experience •Ability to accurately record and collate lab data, and to draw appropriate conclusions •Ability to perform computer data entry and retrieval •Effective listening skills to understand tasks, duties and responsibilities •Ability to work in an environment with variations in temperature and instrument noise •Ability to establish and maintain cooperative, professional working relationships with personnel in the section, laboratory, and ancillary medical areas •Ability to respond positively to necessary changes in work schedule with cooperation
