ChristianaCare is currently seeking Nurse Scientists for the Nursing Research department. In this role you will serve as a principle investigator, co-investigator or mentor in the generation of new knowledge to build nursing science that informs and translates into practice with the goal of improving outcomes. You will also conduct research and evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives in collaboration with nurses and other members of the healthcare team. Align nursing research and EBP activities with the Department of Nursing strategic direction and annual operating plan goals (AOP).
Ignites the spirit of inquiry and partners with nurses to investigate clinical practice questions to advance nursing practice through nursing research and evidence-based practice opportunities
Mentors nurses in the research process to build nursing research capacity and to promote nursing excellence
Provides expertise and guidance in research design, development, implementation, analysis and dissemination of new knowledge
Presents and publishes the results of nursing research and evidence-based practice initiatives externally and within the organization
Conducts independent nursing research within area of expertise or priority focus area for the Department of Nursing and AOP
DNP or PhD or EdD required
MSN or BSN from an accredited nursing program required
Active nursing license
Experience in research design, planning, execution, analysis and dissemination
Minimum of 2 years' experience in research and/or Evidence Based Practice
Demonstrated track record of scholarly activities (peer reviewed publications and presentations).
Demonstrated leadership qualities
Demonstrated knowledge of research and EBP initiatives, nursing education, and clinical practice knowledge
Experience in using electronic medical records, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), and other data collection, analysis and reporting platforms (ie REDCap, SPSS, NVivo).
This is a Casual position, working 16 hours a week.
