This position is located in the Central Virginia Healthcare System, Richmond, VA but is considered to be a field based VACO position which will also support HCOE programs and personnel in Tampa, San Antonio, Palo Alto, Minneapolis, West Haven and Cleveland and is responsible for the development and implementation of methods and design of standards, criteria and guidelines for the testing activities within HCoE. Develops and implements method and design standards, criteria and guidelines for the testing activities within the HCoE. The HCoE has multiple ongoing clinics designed to assess various aspects of headache and pain, such as cognitive behavioral counseling, therapies including acupuncture and botox, biofeedback and relaxation techniques. The incumbent is the lead person in administering Quantitative Sensory testing to subjects. The incumbent facilitates all administrative and scientific aspects of these investigations to include implementing patient testing, ensuring proper scientific methodology, validation and analyses, and clinical reporting.
