Responsible for accurate and quality document preparation, document scanning, data entry and quality assurance of scanned documents. Performs daily processing following established procedures.
Receives incoming documents, identifying and organizing documents by type.
Distributes incoming documents to appropriate staff and locations.
Identifies issues with documents, such as missing indexing elements, coversheets, and DIMS case sheets.
Must be able to identify documents that are sent incorrectly to ensure integrity of scanned documents.
Develops a basic understanding of the workflows of documents through the scanning operation to appropriately process incoming DIMS and non-DIMS documents.
Accurately processes both DIMS and non-DIMS batches.
Creates Kofax batches when necessary, must be able to accurately identify types of documents to determine appropriate batch class and scanner settings to assure proper filing of documents.
Selects correct and appropriate scanner settings to accurately and clearly scan documents.
Accurately tracks daily prepping, scanning and validation productivity via spreadsheets for statistical reporting.
Consistently meets production rate to department standards.
Identifies and disposes of scanned documents following the designated retention period.
Identifies needed maintenance of scanning equipment, performs routine maintenance and alerts Leads of needed scanner service.
Maintains discretion per HIPAA guidelines.
