Provides strategic foresight in the field of revenue cycle reporting and analytic solution design and development.
Responsible for multiple areas across the revenue cycle reporting arena; primary focus will be on owning acute revenue integrity related products and data ingestion processes.
Manages a team of analysts that are responsible for producing both qualitative and quantitate data analysis on an ad-hoc and scheduled delivery basis.
Responsible for planning and prioritizing work based on team resource availability, department goals, and revenue cycle analytics product line roadmap. Works closely with IT application managers and revenue cycle operational leaders to prioritize request backlogs.
Guides, evaluates, and provide user stories/requirements/specifications to various IT Teams using an agile design methodology.
Maintains flexibility by addressing all product development challenges with equal parts project management, product/software design and development, user experience design, and business management strategies.
Investigates and recommends selection and improvement of external analytic tools to leadership.
Administers, validates, and deploys third-party analytic tools from such vendors as SSI, Experian Five 9 and others that are selected by the organization.
Works with the Revenue Cycle Reporting and Analytics Director support, maintain and develop the Performance Measurement scorecards across various revenue cycle functional areas.
Responsible for designing and maintaining solutions and controls to ensure revenue cycle reporting integrity and accuracy.
Establish and communicate analytics reporting and business intelligence vision and standards for the department and its customers.
Strives towards meeting and exceeding productivity and quality expectations to align performance with assigned roles and responsibilities. Escalates concerns or difficulties in meeting performance expectations in a timely manner for management action.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Information Management, or other business information systems related discipline
Five (5) years’ in a revenue cycle analytic / information systems position
Eight (8) years’ experience writing SQL (T-SQL, PL-SQL or similar)
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a hospital-based revenue cycle department or related area (registration, finance, collections, customer service, medical office/physician, or contract management).
Minimum 5 Years with Data Visualization Tools (Power BI/ Power Pivot, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Mastery of MS database management technologies (MS SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS) and Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detailed documentation skills.
Extensive knowledge of common Revenue Cycle KPI’s and workflow processes.
Advanced knowledge of Cerner Millennium Reporting Solutions (DA2, HealtheAnalytics, etc.) and Cerner Patient Accounting (CPA) related data models.
The Revenue Cycle Product Owner provides analytical and development expertise that will help drive the progress of all Corporate Revenue Cycle analytics and reporting solutions. The role will collaborate extensively with internal revenue cycle, finance, accounting operational leaders and various IT teams to provide data and analysis that guide strategic decision making. Under supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle Reporting and Analytics, the revenue cycle product owner will play a principle role in supporting and identifying opportunities for new and/or enhanced revenue cycle reporting solutions across the organization. Role involves leading, managing, and coaching a team of data analysts. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Adheres to AHS Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
