UC Davis Medical Center Sacramento, CA Health Professions Education Specialist 3 Salary Range: $2.084.00 to $4,184.00 Biweekly Final Filing Date: 4/16/2021 This is a full-time position that will report directly to the HEDI Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Under the supervision of the CAO and the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Health Equity Diversity and Inclusion and Diversity Education Director(s), this position will support the administration, coordination and development of diversity education programs, along with special projects as directed by the AVC and CAO. The position is also responsible for supporting the technology and communications needs of the unit such as online curriculum development, website maintenance, listserv and newsletter development and dissemination. Required Qualifications - Completion of, or demonstrated understanding of principles of, cultural competency training.
- Demonstrated experience, 1-year minimum, to efficiently and effectively manage and coordinate complex education programs, particularly those related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Experience, 1-2 years minimum, with diversity-related education and projects for planning and coordination, including events.
- Experience, 1-2 years minimum, in developing & designing promotional and communication materials such as programs, brochures, website, blog, social media posts and newsletters.
- Experience, 1-2 years, with website development and content management, social media sources, cloud content and learning management systems, and e-learning software.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, 2 years minimum, to generate reports, edit and proof-read, for submission of accurate data and detailed reports.
- Demonstratied analytical, research, project management and organizational skills and experience to assess programmatic needs, develop, monitor and manage project timelines, reporting and activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to interact tactfully and diplomatically with a diverse group of people including faculty, staff and students and articulate culturally appropriate responses to questions and/or concerns.
- Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills for data analysis, reporting and handling of sensitive information with appropriate discretion, judgement and critical thinking.
- Expert level experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience, 2 years minimum, with complex faculty calendars/schedules - requires extremely well organized and detail-oriented task management skills.
- Ability to work productively with others of diverse and varied backgrounds with empathy and awareness of impact on others.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience, 1-2 years minimum, in facilitating DEI and/or multi-cultural-focused professional development, education workshops/classes and small group discussions.
- Experience with software and systems: Teamsite, Canvas, Articulate, Qualtrics, AggieTravel, AggieBuy, and Kuali.
Special Requirements - This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
