Student enrolled in a 2 or 4-year Accredited Respiratory Care Program
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Licensure, Certification or Registration Preferred:
ACLS, PALS, NRP required within 6 months of hire date.
Must obtain a State of Georgia license as a Certified Respiratory Therapist within 3 months of graduating and registry within 1 year.
The respiratory care equipment technician works under the supervision of the respiratory department leadership team and with the guidance of licensed respiratory care practitioners to prepare, transport, set up and check respiratory care equipment in both routine and emergency situations including the management and distribution of medical gas cylinders to all patient care areas.
Attend and/or perform all annual mandatory staff requirements.
Follow all AHS HR policies regarding employee code of conduct and the employee handbook.
