Job Summary

Responsible for the coordination of the Mobile Bone Densitometry Program and performing bone densitometry imaging procedures at a technologist level. Supervises Mobile Bone Densitometry Technologists and Drivers. Coordinates templates, daily schedules and clinic cancellations and oversees daily DXA Unit and scanner maintenance issues. Works as technologist at a primary site, assisting on the Mobile Units as required.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for coordinating the monthly and daily schedules and placement and operation of the two Mobile Dexa Units.
  • Investigates and trouble-shoots scheduling concerns.
  • Responsible for performing all aspects of the bone densitometry imaging procedure process.
  • Responsible for performing all team leader aspects for the Mobile DXA Technologists and Drivers, including performance evaluations, training, education, etc.
  • Serves as the point person for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regulations; ensures drivers are adhering to all regulations and requirements.
  • Performs quality control tests on the imaging equipment as required.
  • Responsible for managing the DXA Units and scanner maintenance and issues.
  • Establishes and maintains Mobile Dexa Unit schedules, communicating with mobile site managers as needed.
  • Partners with Operations Manager to coordinate marketing efforts.
  • Researches opportunities for personal growth in area of responsibility and develops action plans.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience (Required), Minimum of 2 years-Managerial/Supervisory (Preferred)

Certification(s) and License(s)

Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
