Overview M Health Fairviewis looking for a Service and Product Assistant at the MHealth Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC) in Minneapolis, MN. The Service and Product Assistant (SPA) is responsible for receipt, shipment, delivery, replenishment, cleansing and maintenance of appropriate equipment and supplies, The SPA maintains adequate inventory levels of equipment, and supplies, and responds to customer requests for supplies and demonstrates effective communication. Responsibilities/Job Description Receive, deliver, replenish, clean and maintain supplies/equipment/linen/forms including: stat room, patient rooms, inventory locations, and other areas, as appropriate. - Assist with maintaining adequate inventory levels of equipment and supplies.
- Understanding of inventory control concepts with the ability to calculate par levels and adjust levels as necessary.
- Coordinate the delivery of items arriving at the dock.
- Assemble, apply/remove, and properly tag/transmit, and log into computer.
- Assure that excess inventory in totes is accounted for, documented, and properly routed.
- Decontaminate and clean patient care equipment such as IV Pumps.
- Answer telephones as needed.
- Other duties as requested and required
Qualifications Qualifications Required Qualifications: - 6 months comparable materials or related experience and/or extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software and medical supplies through formal education channels
- Independent use of computers including data entry
- Must have the ability to bend, reach, stand and lift a maximum of 75 pounds
Preferred qualifications: - 1+ years of comparable experience. Vocational or Technical Training, Associates Degree
- 1-3 years health care related experience, extensive knowledge of medical hardware/software, medical supplies through formal education channels
Desired Skills: - Excellent customer service and communication with follow through and be able to establish priorities, must be able to operate a computer for supply requests, equipment requests, equipment tracking, and productivity reporting
- Proficient in the English language
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Applicant should also be able to learn quickly, follow directions and work independently
