Sr. Revenue Cycle IT Business Analyst (EPIC Contract Build)
The Senior IT Business Analyst position within the Department of Finance - Underpayments is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete managed care contracts within EPIC for both hospital and professional contracts. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Underpayments. This role monitors and performs data analysis, periodic audits, and other special projects necessary to optimize payer contracts in a timely, accurate manner .
Provides guidance to the Contract Load analyst team by coordinating, monitoring, and approving all changes to the payer contracts.
Mentors and trains junior staff on learning both the technical and business impacts of workflows and daily tasks related to the maintenance of the Contract files in EPIC.
Monitors all daily activities performed by the Contract Analyst team to ensure requests for new charges and regulatory updates (i.e. Medicare) are completed accurately and timely.
Assists Contract Analyst team with standardizing processes and loading of Contracts related to Contract Load change requests for both existing contracts and loading of new contracts to ensure uniformity in EPIC.
Maintains organized process procedures for contract updates that are escalated by internal resources (I.E. Underpayments team, Payment Posting)
Performs queries of data to assist in the resolution of under-optimized contracts via Alexandria Reporting or other available resources.
Interacts with Leadership to provide education and interpretation regarding financial impacts on contract optimization short falls, not limited to just contract fixes, but also payer behaviors that need addressed.
Works closely with the Underpayment Team, Contract Maintenance Analyst team, Managed Care Contracting, and other departments as needed, to ensure updates to the Contract are made in an efficient and accurate manner and proactively communicated.
Coordinates with Managed Care to confirm new contracts are producing in EPIC as modeled, in a timely professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or relevant work experience substitution for education) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the healthcare industry and at least two years of experience in a hospital contract specialist role.
