The Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH) Research Project Coordinator I is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, managing and reporting on multiple aspects of a multidisciplinary research program. The Research Project Coordinator I of BSWH will use project management skills and tools to develop and implement strategies that ensure timely advancement of a proposed research program to meet intended goals and objectives while complying with all institutional, federal and state rules and regulations and funding constraints. The Research Project Coordinator I will motivate positive working relationships within the program team, including internal and external team members.
In addition, the Research Project Coordinator I for BSWH has the following responsibilities:
Works with team leader and others as appropriate to define the strategic initiatives, scope, goals, and timelines of the research program
Develops program budgets and ensure that budget requirements are met, including review of program-related contracts and approval of invoices within the program budget
Prepares supporting documents, including the clinical protocol, Investigator's brochure, case report forms, informed consent documents and components of an IND application
Uses project management skills to ensure that the program progresses according to established timelines
Serves as the program's liaison with internal and external departments and personnel involved in or contributing to the program to resolve barriers to the advancement of the program's strategic initiatives
Fosters relationships with external entities, including academia and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry; maintain current relationships and establish new relationships with entities that can contribute to the objectives of the program
Designs and implement processes and procedures to ensure advancement of the program's strategic initiatives
Provides guidance to program team members and interact regularly with the program team to determine resource needs, coordinate activities of operational areas and identify deliverables and target due dates
Organizes and conduct team meetings to ensure adherence to strategic initiatives, goals, budget and timelines
The ideal Research Project Coordinator I candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers. Must be detailed oriented, a team player and possess strong organizational skills.
