Coordinates daily operations of the courier service. Develops and implements improvements to provide high-quality, cost-efficient services.
Interviews and selects prospective staff.
Maintains job expectations, performance standards and completes appraisals for direct reports.
Assists in the establishment, implementation and updating of policies and procedures.
Assures adequate and efficient staffing levels and schedules in combination with productivity measures.
Coordinates, supervises, and evaluates the work of all employees and resources.
Establishes work schedules, ensuring all routes are covered by shifting personnel as necessary.
Successfully implements changes to operations as needed.
Demonstrates receptiveness to new ideas and successfully helps others through change.
Assists in the development and maintanence of a quality improvement plan.

Coordinates purchasing activity and reconciliation of expenses.
Documents, initiates, approves, and performs disciplinary action in consultation with Human Resources.
Sets an example and enforces compliance with dress code at all times.
Reviews and approves electronic time cards and approves and denies time off requests for direct reports.
Oversees tracking and documentation of specimens and packages to ensure quality delivery.
