Imaging Partners is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the team and oversee day-to-day operations of multiple outpatient imaging facilities. The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the facilities, the technical staff and clerical staff as well as ensuring efficient and effective office operations. This person is responsible for ensuring offices comply with all state and federal regulatory requirements, as well as all ACR requirements. The Director of Radiology Operations is accountable for communicating and addressing quality assurance/quality control issues and standards, developing and maintaining referring community relations as well as monitoring the financial expenditures of the practice.
What you’ll do:
Oversee all aspects of performance at Imaging Partners for the following positions: Radiology Site Managers (2), RIS/PACS Administrator (1), technologists and clerical staff (65).
Create an environment that motivates staff to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction and to perform to their maximum potential.
Ensure that proper orientation and training are provided to staff so they are familiar with the equipment and protocols.
Provide assistance to managers regarding personnel related issues and conduct performace reviews and disciplinary action as necessary.
Assess skill level of technologists to ensure adequate coverage for all modalities by direct observation of performance of duties incorporating Radiologist evaluation.
Review credentialing/certifications/CEU for all technical staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
Work with the People Operations team to recruit staff, conduct interviews, and hire staff according to Imaging Partner’s standards.
Communicate department policy/procedure changes, new technical procedures, new contract and client information.
Communicate position and performance expectations to all staff members.
Communicate with Radiologists weekly to assure the quality level established for the offices is being met/exceeded on a consistent basis.
Interact with patients and referring physician offices to resolve/proactively minimize office related patient care complaints.
Assess equipment and technology needs. Work with finance to project upcoming expenditures.
Review and ensure that staff are adhering to radiation safety requirements set forth by state and federal agencies, including, but not limited to, patient safety, radiation monitoring device issuance and collection for staff, as well as signage within the imaging facilities.
Review and maintain records for state and federal inspection. Oversee necessary corrective action as applicable and retain documentation of actions taken regarding correction.
Coordinate physicist inspections of all equipment requiring annual reports.
Review costs for office supplies, technical equipment and medical supplies necessary for operations.
Interact with billing office supervisors and staff regarding issues related to coding and reimbursement.
Communicate effectively with Radiologists, staff, patients and referring community
Exhibit a solid knowledge of current radiology procedures and technical advancements
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Have excellent interpersonal skills
Have exceptional follow through
Thrive in a somewhat unstructured environment
Portray a calm demeanor in potentially stressful situations
Represent the company in a positive and professional manner
Education and Experience
5+ years in a supervisory role in imaging, preferably outpatient setting
Bachelor degree in related subject matter preferred, or the equivalent
Licensed radiological technologist a plus

Women’s healthcare needs are unique—especially when it comes to imaging. Over four decades ago, the Women’s Imaging Center became the first accredited mammography center in Orange County—and we’ve been providing our neighbors with the highest level of women-focused imaging care ever since.
Women’s Imaging Center has been and continues to be at the forefront of imaging advances. We were an early adopter of digital mammography in the 1990s, and in 2009, we were the first imaging center in Orange County to provide 3D mammography.
