The Laboratory Assistant primarily focuses on laboratory order entry and a Lab Outreach Representative. Responsibilities include: performing all functions essential to the ordering and reporting of Outpatient test requests. Performs functions essential to specimen processing including entering orders, labeling laboratory specimens, centrifugation, routing, splitting and retrieving specimens for further testing. Assist technical staff in other duties such as inventory, stocking, equipment maintenance, and clerical duties as needed.
Position requirements: High School Diploma, or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience working on computer data entry required. Experience with clinical order entry and Path Net computer system a plus.
Scheduling: Monday - Friday 10PM - 2AM
Start rate: $12.35/hour
